I did my time in HP too... *g* Wasn't fussed on the kids but loved Snape/Lupin. There was some reasonably good gen on FF.net too, surprisingly.
I am predominantly a gen and slash reader and tend to have a handful of fandoms at a time which I'll actively read in. At the moment that's Numb3rs, Primeval, and some SGA. I had a rabid patch earlier this year with both Torchwood and Doctor Who, but while I still faithfully watch and adore the shows, I read very little of the fanfic at present. That will probably change when the new seasons start, though. I'm a fickle bunny... *g*
