They hadn’t the time, strength or privacy to fuck properly anymore. They hadn’t the time or privacy for much at all.

 

Abbey knew, she’d always known, Leo isn’t sure when she found out or how, but he does love her for how she reacted. Jenny would have blown up, thrown a fit and divorced him on the spot. Abbey was pissed, he couldn’t deny that, but she stayed, stayed and accepted this as part of who her husband was.

 

Leo sometimes wonders what would have happened if they weren’t politicians, would they have had some hidden love affair or would they have had the strength to bring it into the open? He tries not to think on it too often, it always leaves him moody and quiet and a little depressed.
