Summary: Wilson has some guilt issues. And may also be gay. But he's repressing that part. 

Jewish guilt may not quite be able to keep up with the fabled Catholic guilt but it gave it a fair run for its money.

 

The more cynical part of him (who sounded suspiciously like House) wondered if that might have been the basis for his serial monogamy. No need to wank when you have the latest Mrs Wilson about. Not that they stayed enamored with him for long, though by that time he’d usually found his next wife and it was all a little moot.

 

He always felt a touch dirty when he wanked, it was much the same as when he was a teenager, though with less fear of detection and a longer duration. The guilt lingered around the edges of his mind and threw nasty glances at him from across the room. It never quite seemed big enough to have an identity crisis over get it all over with so it just lurked around niggling at him.

 

Though if he was honest with himself, and he did try not to but it was avoidable on occasion, his aversion for wanking and his serial monogamy probably had more to do with the fact that when he was turned on the walls between his conscious self and that which he was repressing disappeared.

 

Which was not a whole lot of fun, especially as he seemed to repress a lot. He repressed his attraction to nurses and doctors and people in the street, which when it popped up while he was aroused had lead to the dissolution of more than one of his marriages.

 

He also had the sneaking feeling, one that he was repressing, that he may in fact be gay, and not in a small way in love with his best friend.

 

So in general Jimmy tried to stay away from wanking, it was better for everyone.
